Egyptian Student Association

When I first came to WSU, I was just trying to find people who felt like home — people who looked like me, talked like me, and understood where I came from. But I couldn’t find that space.

So I decided to create it.

I started the Egyptian Student Association (ESA) for students like me who just wanted to feel seen, connected, and proud of who they are. It started with a simple idea — to create a space where we could celebrate our culture together. But it quickly became something bigger. It became a family. A place where people could come together, whether they’re Egyptian or not, to share stories, laugh over the same food, and learn something new about a culture they may have never learned about before.

It wasn’t just about starting a club. It was about finding belonging — and making sure others could find it too.

Belonging

We make sure every Egyptian student — and every friend — feels like they belong. Whether it's your first semester or your last, you're part of our family.

From food and language to music and history, we proudly celebrate and share the beauty of Egyptian culture with WSU and beyond.

Community

Our strength is in how we show up for each other. ESA is built on real connection, collaboration, and showing love through action.
